How long will my flag last?

Weather conditions play a huge part in determining the life of a flag. A flag that is located in a sheltered environment will last longer than a flag which is always out in windy or sunny locations.

Another key factor is how the flag is utilized. A flag pole flag is usually put up the pole and it stays up there until it needs to be replaced.  Flags that you put out daily can be expected to last a lot longer as they are only being used half as much.  Also, taking your flags down in high wind or rain will increase their longevity.

There is no exact answer. The U.S. Government generally expects a flag to last approximately 90 days based on daily usage from sunrise to sunset - but not during periods of inclement weather. Tests have shown that in some cases a flag flown 24 hours a day will last only one-fourth as long as one flown during daylight hours only. The major enemies of a flag are the wind and sun. Neither you nor we can control the weather, but you can take care of your flag and lengthen its life by occasional washing in warm mild detergent water which will prevent dirt and pollutants from attacking the fabric. And, have your flag repaired at the first sign of fraying.

What are your hours of operation?

While we strive to be available anytime the phone rings from 9am to 5pm Eastern, Monday through Friday and 9 am to noon on Saturdays, if you call and get the voicemail, leave a message and we'll call you back, usually within minutes. We attempt to respond to emails within one business hour. If you don't hear back from us in a timely fashion, please feel free to call or email again - sometimes emails get stuck in cyberspace. We have built a great customer driven company over the last 7+ years, and our goal is to keep it that way. The best way to communicate is by email and we will often respond to one outside of normal business hours, if possible.
